Greeting Card Artists??
Hello, I am sending some samples of my work to a few companies that sell greeting cards and printing products. I'm using the offline address book by authors and illustrators Mary Cox guide. If you are an artist or art director freelance a company that works with these artists, I can give advice about my memories? Thank you!
As artistic director for a magazine, I know that many small businesses to make self-employed (ie not have to travel to that area) and most preferred independent illustrators, especially those who register in their eyes. My suggestion is go to a greeting card store and find your style art (for example, if you do search maps phot … If you the information you need to send things to them. I want to send samples "of work" that were scanned into my computer and placed 4 to a page. Then print the page for heavy photo paper. Submit full size samples as well. It's really all about the packaging and marketing yourself himself and his art style. Get a folder, Nice and elegant in a complete package including samples, letter and curriculum vitae (or credits of art – where the art has been published or used before) and send it! You can even choose to get business cards made (with his own art in it!) And include in your package. Of course, send Hallmark, but do not forget small businesses – which are more likely to have need good illustrators. It is ideal for my work, I have received many communications, but I understand those who go the extra mile and send "reminders" of what they are and their capabilities. I keep all the cards, because it is a work of art! I hope this help!
